How To Take Care Of Your Swimsuit

Taking care of your surf swimsuit is essential to ensure its longevity and performance. As surfers, we know that our bikinis can get dirty from sand, saltwater, sunscreen, and the worst of them all: surf wax. However, keeping it clean is a straightforward process. Here is how we recommend taking care of your swimsuits.

Daily Care

1) Rinse with fresh water after every session to remove any salt and sand residues.

2) Let it dry in the shade. Drying in the sun can cause color fade.

Removing Surf Wax and Stains

To Remove Surf Wax: Grab some coconut oil and rub it on the surf wax. This will soften the wax allowing it to be easily rubbed off.

To Remove Stains (Including Wax Stains): Use a toothbrush, cold water, and laundry detergent to gently scrub out stains.

Things We Do Not Recommend

- Machine washing. This can damage elastic and be damaging to delicate swimwear fabric.

- Putting on tanning oils that can stain the suit. We suggest putting oils and sunscreens on before changing into your bikini.

- Using bleach. This breaks down the fabric and can ruin the colors.

Embracing the life of an active surfer can be tough on your swimsuit but, following these tips will ensure your favorite bikinis stay in the best shape. Enjoy your Tan Madonna's bikinis on countless wave-riding journeys!
